The Big Watch is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands, aged 4 – 11 except for family members of BBFC employees.
Parental/guardian/teacher consent is required to enter.
The BBFC is the promoter and responsible for prize promotion.
Entrants should enter by watching three films (either at the cinema or as home entertainment) that have BBFC classifications across the period of the challenge. After watching each film entrants must complete a form on the BBFC website at www.bbfc.co.uk/film-media-resources/the-big-watch and a parent or guardian must submit each form on behalf of the entrant.
By entering the promotion, the participants and all parents and guardians who have submitted forms via the website agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Entrants must supply their full name, age, parent / guardian / teacher name, and parent / guardian / teacher email address. These details will not be passed on to third parties or used in activity not related to the BBFC’s The Big Watch.
For more information on our privacy policy, it can be found on our website https://www.bbfc.co.uk/privacy-statement. Only one full entry, comprising three completed forms, will be permitted per person, regardless of method of entry. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.
If an entrant turns 12 after the closing date, we will accept their entries, as long as they were 11 at the time of submission.
The prize draw is open to individual entrants only.
The campaign start date is 09:00 on 2 November, with a closing date of 23:59 Monday 30 November 2026.
Each entrant agrees that their entry meets the following criteria: The entry must not contain any obscene, offensive, defamatory, threatening, illegal or otherwise inappropriate language or material and must be free from advertising;
All entrants who have submitted three forms during the campaign period will be entered into a free prize draw to be drawn on Thursday 3 December 2026. The BBFC will choose five winners by a system of random selection. The BBFC's decision as to the winners is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered into. The winner(s) will be notified within 28 days of the close of the promotion by email.
There is no cash alternative, and the prize will not be transferable.
The prize will include a BBFC goody bag, a personalised Black Card and a family cinema gift voucher. If any part of the prize cannot be fulfilled, then the BBFC retains the right to offer an alternative.
All entrants who have submitted three forms will receive a Gold standard certificate of completion of the Big Watch by email. Entrants who have submitted a partial entry of two forms will receive a Silver standard certificate by email and entrants who have submitted a partial entry of one form will receive a Bronze certificate by email.
BBFC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
If any winners are unable to be contacted within 48 hours of the prize draw, the BBFC reserves the right to choose alternative winners.
By entering the promotion, the participants and their parents and/or legal guardians agree:
that their name, age and county/country of residence may be released if they win a prize.
By entering, the participants and their parents and/or legal guardians agree that we can use their entry on all forms of online, mobile, and social media advertising, promotion and marketing activities including but not limited to: display advertising, video on demand services, interactive video on demand, BBFC websites, BBFC social media outlets, (including TikTok, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube), and experiential activity to support the campaign.
By entering, the participants and their parents and/or legal guardians agree that we can use their entry for any advertising or publicity purposes in any form of media, including television, cinema and any other audiovisual medium, radio, out-of-home, print and any other media (including promotional and marketing materials)
BBFC excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any and all loss, damage or injury occurring to any entrant and their parent/guardian arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winners arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.
The promotion is subject to the laws of England & Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
