Encourage your students to step into the shoes of a BBFC Compliance Officer, watch age-appropriate films, and put their viewing skills to the test.
How Your Class Can Take Part in 3 Easy Steps
- Watch 3 films: Throughout November (Monday 2 Nov – Monday 30 Nov 2026), students watch three U or PG BBFC-rated films at school, at home, or at the cinema.
- Report their findings: With the help of a teacher, parent, or guardian, students complete a quick online report for each film they have watched on the BBFC website highlighting the content issues they observed. Make sure you read the terms and conditions beforehand!
- Earn digital certificates & enter the national draw: Every child who completes a report will receive an official digital Certificate of Achievement, while learners who submit three reports will be entered into our national prize draw!
We’ve put together a classroom presentation, complete with teacher guidance, to help you bring The Big Watch to your students. Introduce your class to the world of classification and provide them with the tools to begin to think critically about the content they consume.
