Calling all young film fans! As part of BBFC’s Education Week 2026, we’re super excited to launch The Big Watch. We’re inviting children aged 4 to 11 across the UK to step into the shoes of a BBFC Compliance Officer, watch awesome movies, and put their critical thinking skills to the test.
How to Enter in 3 Easy Steps
Watch 3 Films: Throughout November (Monday 2 Nov – Monday 30 Nov 2026), watch three films at the cinema or at home that have official BBFC U or PG age ratings.
Report Your Findings: After each film, ask a parent, guardian or teacher to help you fill out a quick online report on the BBFC website about the content issues you noticed. Make sure your grown-up reads the terms and conditions beforehand!
Earn Rewards & Enter the Draw: Every child who completes all three reports earns an official digital Certificate of Achievement and gets automatically entered into our national prize draw!
Five lucky winners drawn at random will win a super prize bundle, including:
An official BBFC Goody Bag packed with fun merch
A personalised BBFC Black Card
A family cinema gift voucher for your next cinema trip!
Dates: The Big Watch opens at 09:00 on Monday 2 November 2026 and closes at 23:59 on Monday 30 November 2026.
Eligibility: Open to all primary-aged children (aged 4 to 11) living in the UK.
How to Qualify: Participants must watch 3 BBFC-rated films and submit 3 completed forms via a parent/guardian. Participants can verify a film’s classification using the BBFC website.
- Prize Draw: Five winners will be selected at random from all valid entries after the campaign closes.
- Certificates of Achievement: All entrants who have submitted three forms will receive a Gold standard certificate of completion of the Big Watch by email. Entrants who have submitted a partial entry of two forms will receive a Silver standard certificate by email and entrants who have submitted a partial entry of one form will receive a Bronze certificate by email. These will be sent within one week of the competition closing.
- Please read the full terms and conditions before entering.
