BBFC Podcast Episode 19 - Classifying content on mobile phones

In this episode of the BBFC podcast, we talk to David Austin, Assistant Director, BBFC and Hamish MacLeod, chair of the Mobile Broadband Group about how the BBFC Mobile Classification Framework works.

On 2 September 2013 the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) took over from the Independent Mobile Classification Board (IMCB) in providing the independent classification framework that underpins the Mobile Operators' code of practice, established in 2004, for the self regulation of new forms of content on mobile.

Six months into the new partnership, we talk to David Austin, Assistant Director, BBFC and Hamish MacLeod, chair of the Mobile Broadband Group about how this partnership came about, what the framework does and how it works with wider parental controls on mobile smart phones.
