Single Sign-On for BBFC Extranet Users
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a newly improved, streamlined process that allows you to log into multiple services, such as the BBFC extranet and your Globus personal account, with a single set of login details (much like Facebook, Google and Twitter). This is a key step towards our integration of the Globus upload option into the BBFC extranet, which we will be introducing in Q1 2017.
Updating your login information before 5 December 2016
Single Sign-On will become the sole login method for the extranet on 5 December 2016. In the new system, your username will be the email address on your profile. We therefore ask that you set an email on your profile before 5 December, if you haven't already done so. If you have not set an email on your profile before 5 December, you will not be able to access the extranet without first getting in touch with the BBFC or your extranet administrator to create a new user account. Please note, your password will remain as it is.
Updating your profile should only take about five minutes. Simply log into the extranet at https://extranet.bbfc.co.uk and click "My Profile" on the left-hand menu. If you have previously asked your browser to save your login details, you will need to re-enter these on your first sign-in and ask your browser to save them, now that we have brought in SSO. If you wish to look up your saved password, the following links explain how to see your saved passwords:
Chrome: https://goo.gl/8Kan3Q
Firefox: https://goo.gl/6SNF96
Internet Explorer: https://goo.gl/2jYUdc
Safari: https://goo.gl/3XRCtq
Logging onto the extranet
From 5 December, when you log onto the extranet, you will see a newly designed BBFC login page (see the screenshot below). Once you enter your username (i.e. your email address) and password, you will have the option of saving these details for future visits if you wish to.
Logging into Globus
If you currently use Globus to submit files for BBFC home entertainment classifications, logging into your Globus personal account for your BBFC submissions is now easier as well. Simply visit www.globus.org, click on the "Login" button and select "BBFC" from the dropdown list of available organisations. The first time you do this, you will be asked if you wish to link to your existing Globus user account. Doing so will save you from having to reconfigure any existing Globus software installations you may have.

If you do not currently use Globus for your BBFC home entertainment classifications but would like to, or if you have any other queries related to this mailshot, please don’t hesitate to contact us via ithelpdesk@bbfc.co.uk.
