BBFC Teacher Panel

Are you a passionate primary or secondary school teacher with an interest in film, media literacy, and online safety?

Join our brand new BBFC Teacher Panel and make your voice heard!

The Opportunity

Join a panel of up to eleven other educators, meeting online each term to delve into how cinema and streaming content impacts young people. As a panellist, you will be required to watch a film of the BBFC’s choosing - either at the cinema, or via a screening link - to discuss its age rating, classification, and potential impact on young viewers. Your views will feed directly into our compliance work and impact how we make age rating decisions.

Beyond classification, you will also contribute to the development of new and existing BBFC educational resources, including our film and media studies and RSE / PSHE resources. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence BBFC content taught in schools!

The panel will meet online, once every school term. All sessions will be held outside of school hours, between approximately 4pm - 5pm.
