You Only Live Twice

There are scenes of action violence in keeping with other Sean Connery Bond films, including various blows, shootings and slashings with blades. There is occasional sight of blood spurts, sight of a man being hit in the chest with a throwing star, an attempted strangling and an implied neck break. A woman disappears into a pool filled with piranha fish and another woman is poisoned and dies.

There are scenes in which characters are threatened, as well as exciting car chases and explosions in set-piece action sequences. An astronaut is left stranded in space after the tube connecting him to a spacecraft is cut.

There is use of very mild bad language, such as 'hell' and 'damn'.

There are some mild sex references and innuendo, as well as scenes in which it is implied Bond is about to have sex, although no sex is shown.

At one point, Bond wears make-up in order to make himself look more 'Japanese', which some viewers may find offensive. There are also stereotyped comments about Japan and Japanese culture, reflecting the period in which the film is set.

The opening titles feature silhouttes of apparently naked women dancing.

There is sight of blood in the aftermath of violence, including on clothing and a bed.
