A person is shot, creating a spurt of blood. There are moderate sequences of war violence, gunfire, beatings, and stylised fight scenes. A man’s arm is broken during a fight, resulting in a loud ‘crunch’ sound but no visible injury detail.

There are occasional scenes of threat, including gun threat.

Very mild bad language includes ‘damn’, ‘God’ and ‘lunatic’.

Scenes of anti-refugee discrimination include one in which cops behave aggressively towards a woman, striking her and calling her ‘refugee dog’. In another scene, an unlikeable character makes racist comments about a Black man, calling him a ‘negro’, but is swiftly punished for his behaviour. The work carries a positive anti-discrimination message.

We see bloodied dead bodies, some of them dismembered, and severed limbs strewn on the ground in the aftermath of war violence. A civilian teenager is briefly trapped under a pile of dead bodies during the fighting. A sequence of black-and-white archive footage of real warfare and famine features brief sight of undetailed dead bodies.

There are occasional upsetting scenes, such as one in which a soldier who has just lost her arms in battle begs a teenager to help her bite the cyanide capsule she has around her neck.
