War Of The Worlds

The threat from the aliens is mainly conducted in gigantic tripod machines which cause the destruction of buildings, and which blast humans in undetailed fashion. The general threat becomes focused on a father and his young daughter as they attempt to evade alien attackers in sometimes sustained passages of menace which occasionally occur in confined spaces. There are occasional bloody images. There is mild bad language including uses of 'bullshit', 'shit', 'asshole', 'dick', 'pissed off' and 'my God'.

There are frequent scenes of sustained moderate threat in which characters flee from large alien machines which destroy buildings and vehicles, and fire a heat ray which turns victims into dust upon contact. Other scenes of threat include the protagonist and his daughter hiding in a basement as aliens search the room, some gun threat as humans fight over a car, and a frantic escape from a boat as it is attacked by the aliens, throwing people and cars into the water.

Scenes include people being vaporised by an alien heat ray, human bodies floating in a river, sight of a crashed plane which has destroyed various buildings, and the implied draining of blood from humans by the alien machines. In one scene, it is implied the protagonist has murdered a crazed man in order to protect his daughter.
