A man is beaten to death with a blunt instrument by a police officer; while most blows occur out of shot, the man's skull is heard breaking. In other scenes, a man is shot in the head, while another is struck across the head with a bottle. A flashback sequence depicts a man being tortured with electricity in an archaic psychiatric facility. Other violence is milder, such as people exchanging slaps and shoves.
