Vertigo

There are some scenes of mild threat. For example, a character hangs on to a gutter high above the ground after slipping during a rooftop chase. There is also a nightmare sequence in which a character dreams that he sees a ghost and then approaches an open grave. A man briefly grabs a woman's neck as he threatens her, but she is not physically harmed.

There are occasional uses of very mild bad language, including 'darn', 'bum' and 'God'.

There are some very mild sex references, such as when a woman misunderstands a man's offer to 'take care' of her.

Adult characters smoke cigarettes, reflecting the period in which the film was made.

There are references to suicide relating to the mental state of a female character whom it is feared may intend to kill herself. As well as some verbal references to suicide, there is sight of the character jumping into water in an apparent suicide attempt and a sequence in which she falls from a bell tower.
