There is strong violence, such as bloody shootings and impactful beatings, including the occasional use of bottles and furniture. In one sequence, a man is held at gunpoint upside down in a bathtub. A character forces a pen down another's throat so that they vomit and reveal drugs they had tried to conceal. Scenes of violence result in people with bloodied clothes and injuries.

There is frequent use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker', 'c**ksucker'), accompanied by other milder terms ('pussy', 'bitch', 'prick', 'ass', 'asshole', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'son of a bitch', 'butt', 'Jesus', 'hell', 'God' and 'damn').

There are crude sexual references, sometimes including the use of strong language. There is brief sexualised female breast and buttock nudity after a cop bursts into a couple's bedroom.

There is use of discriminatory terms, such as 'dyke' and 'faggot'. Racial language ('n***a') is used by black characters.

A character takes several drags of a crack pipe, which is later revealed to have contained PCP; the character experiences hallucinations for a period afterwards. There are also frequent verbal references to drug distribution and drug taking.

A man attempts to rape a 14-year-old girl in an alleyway, but the assault is interrupted by police. There are accompanying verbal references to sexual violence.
