Violence
There is a scene in which a man forces himself on a woman, dragging her to the floor. However, no further sexual assault occurs as the man is interrupted, and the woman is saved. There are also some verbal references to "rape". In one scene, a man who has been prepared for execution by hanging briefly hangs from a noose before he is rescued by another man. In another scene, it is implied that a dead deer is eaten by dogs, and this scene is followed by one in which a man holds up a dead deer's head. However, there is no sight of real animal cruelty. There are also scenes in which a man is struck on the head, and another man is stabbed with a sword. However, injury detail is limited.
Language
There is use of moderate bad language (for example, 'bitch', 'whore', 'whoremaster'), as well as some milder terms like 'slut', 'bastard', 'arse', 'bloody', 'bloody', 'sodding', 'hussy', 'trollop', 'harlot', 'goddamn', and 'damn').
Sex
In one scene, a man and woman show their desire for each other by suggestively handling and eating food during a feast. It is initially implied that a man has had sex with his mother. However, it is subsequently made clear that the woman is not his mother. Although the film concerns a young man who has sex with several women, sexual activity is implied rather than shown. There are also some verbal references to sexual activity.
In one scene, two fighting cocks are held in front of each other. There is no cruel goading to fury, and an implied cockfight is not shown. There are also some brief scenes of mild threat, and brief sights of limited bloody injury detail.
