TIKU WEDS SHERU is a Hindi language drama in which a young woman who wants to be a film star is betrothed to a man who pretends to be a film financier.

violence
A police officer flogs a man in a cell, and there is brief close-up emphasis on the man's cut and bloodstained body. There are also fight scenes, and a prolonged shootout with brief sight of impact wounds. A woman's adult brother slaps her face and beats her with a belt after she refuses the family's arranged marriage. The woman's intended husband is shocked by this abuse and refuses to accept the arrangement. In another scene, and after a woman has thrown herself from a moving car in an attempt to take her own life, her husband angrily briefly slaps her face.
language
There is strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker', 'behenchod', 'maderchod'), as well as milder terms (for example, 'bitch', 'whore', 'dickhead', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'piss', 'bastard', 'asshole', 'ass', 'God', 'hell').
drugs
A man becomes involved in drug-dealing, and there are scenes in which cocaine is dealt and snorted. However, the man is subsequently arrested and jailed for drug-dealing. There are also brief scenes in which marijuana joints are smoked. Drug misuse is not condoned by the work as a whole.
sexual violence and sexual threat
There are negatively presented scenes in which a woman is coerced into performing sexual favours for men in exchange for a major role in a film. These include a scene in which she briefly engages in sexual activity with a male film producer. Following this scene, the woman returns home and cries.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
additional issues
The films contains suicide references, as well as a scene in which a woman attempts to take her own life. However, these scenes are brief and negatively presented. A man rejects another man's brief sexual advances. Discrimination is not condoned by the work as a whole. Sex references include scenes in which female sex workers are offered to a client, and scenes of sexualised dancing which include women wearing revealing costumes. There are also scenes of emotional upset, and brief verbal references to abortion.
