A police officer flogs a man in a cell, and there is brief close-up emphasis on the man's cut and bloodstained body. There are also fight scenes, and a prolonged shootout with brief sight of impact wounds. A woman's adult brother slaps her face and beats her with a belt after she refuses the family's arranged marriage. The woman's intended husband is shocked by this abuse and refuses to accept the arrangement. In another scene, and after a woman has thrown herself from a moving car in an attempt to take her own life, her husband angrily briefly slaps her face.
