The Toxic Avenger

People are struck with a powerful weapon which causes body parts to explode or be ripped off in gory fashion, producing huge spurts of blood. During one sequence, a fantastical being reaches into a person's body and pulls out their intestines.

Scenes of threat and horror occur and are balanced by a comic tone running throughout.

Very strong language (‘c**t’) is used infrequently. There is use of strong language (‘motherf**ker’, ‘f**k’, ‘c*cksucker’) as well as milder terms including ‘dick’, ‘pussy’, ‘bitch’, ‘shit’, ‘asshole’, ‘bloody’, ‘bastard’, ‘bullshit’, ‘God’, ‘damn’, ‘hell’, ‘Jesus’ and ‘Christ’. A middle finger gesture is used.

There are some crude oral sex references.

A man inhales a gas which is implied to be a drug from a balloon, although the effects of this are not seen. There are verbal references to drugs including 'angel dust'.

There is brief implied sexual threat when a man is harassing a woman, and an oblique verbal reference to sexual violence.

Victims of violence are frequently seen with strong gory injuries and missing body parts. In one sequence, a severed head is run over by a car, resulting in gruesome detail.
