The Thing With Feathers

Imaginary sequences show fantastical creatures attacking people or each other, resulting in spurts and sprays of blood and fleeting, darkly-lit sight of tearing flesh.

A man is taunted, menaced and attacked by sinister fantastical creatures during scenes of moderate horror, with occasional ‘jump scare’ moments.

There is strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'). Milder terms include 'wanky', 'shit', 'piss', 'bloody', 'bugger', 'God', 'Christ' and 'hell'.

Infrequent scenes include discreet references to suicidal ideation.

Blood is shown pooling across the floor from a person’s head. Blood splatters onto surfaces during a fantastical scene. There are cuts and scratches across people’s faces.

There are upsetting scenes centred around bereavement shown from the perspectives of a grieving man and his two young sons after the sudden death of his wife and their mother. A passing reference is made to cancer. The theme of bereavement is presented in a frank and sometimes unsettling, yet sensitive manner.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
