THE NIGHT THEY CAME HOME is a Western drama in which a gang of Black, Native American and mixed race outlaws take vengeance on white settlers for the manner in which they have been treated.

Scenes include gunfights, fistfights and stabbings. Shootings occasionally result in bloody detail. A noose is put around a man's neck and he is choked to death. There are also verbal references to domestic abuse, and a sequence of drawn images depicting a hanging.
discrimination
Scenes include racist and sexist language and behaviour, as well as racially-motivated violence.
sexual violence and sexual threat
There are verbal references to rape, including gang rape, and scenes of sexual threat in which women are taken prisoner and manhandled. In one scene, a woman is taken into a room and assaulted; she briefly pretends to consent, in order to lull the perpetrator before attacking and killing him.
