The Long Walk

People are shot, resulting in sight of blood spurts. Blows are also seen being exchanged and one person is run over by a vehicle.

There is a strong sense of threat throughout as the main characters are forced at gunpoint into a lengthy ordeal which only one of them is expected to survive. There are moments in which participants are threatened with being shot if they do not comply and moments in which they have to urinate and defecate while being threatened.

There is frequent strong language ('motherf**ker' and 'f**k') as well as milder terms including 'pussy', 'bitch', 'son of a bitch', 'cock', 'dick', 'asshole', 'ass', 'crap', 'balls' and 'shit'. The middle finger gesture is also used.

References are made, during banter between a group of men, to wanting to spend time with 'naked' women if they survive their ordeal. There are also some crude verbal references to a woman being a sex worker, as well as verbal references to oral sex.

Men direct homophobic insults at other men, including uses of terms such as 'queer', 'fruit' and 'sissy'. Racial tension is expressed between characters.

In extreme circumstances, men take their own lives in order to avoid being killed by others. These sequences feature sight of blood and injury detail.

Injuries are seen in the aftermath of both violence and accidents, including sight of a person being forced to limp awkwardly on a broken ankle and a person whose legs have been crushed by a vehicle. There is sight of dead animals lying by the roadside.

Adults smoke cigarettes and there are references to alcohol drinking.
