violence
Characters are killed falling off a roof, being hit by a plank of wood and being shot. The deaths take place off-screen, but one scene features a fight between two men above a railway line in which there is gunplay and a cruel determination on both their parts to kill each other. Dead bodies are disposed of by being thrown over a railway bridge in undetailed manner. A cosh is used during a robbery.
threat and horror
The robbers comes up with ways to kill the elderly woman, including strangling her and making her death look like a suicide by hanging. One of the robbers brandishes a flick knife.
additional issues
There is infrequent very mild bad language ('moron'). There is an outdated reference to a mental health facility as a "booby hatch". There are scenes of smoking which reflect the historical period in which the film was made.
