Violence
Strong violence includes heavy beatings, people being thrown into walls and glass, shootings, slashes and stabbings with knives, and throat-cuttings, much of it executed or manipulated by an invisible force. There is extensive bloodshed and bloody injury in the aftermath of violent events.
Injury detail
There is a scene in which a character suggests they are about to take their own life, although this turns out to be a ruse. The scene features strong bloody injury detail. A photograph shows the body of a suicide victim with brief sight of wrist-cutting injuries.
Theme
There are references to the emotional and psychological control of a woman by her husband, and suggestions that the domestic abuse included physical harm. The abuse continues in the threats to the woman through the course of the film. The film also contains strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') and scenes of strong threat. A woman is stalked by an invisible force which adds to the intensity of the threats she faces, and although the source of the menace is fantastical her ordeal takes place in a real world setting. The threat occasionally breaks out into strong 'jump scares'.
