violence
Scenes of strong violence occur throughout, often within a sexualised context; for example, during foreplay, a woman forces her husband to inhale a drug that she knows will give him a heart attack. A man is brutally beaten and shot, resulting in sight of a bloody gunshot wound and aftermath detail. In one sustained sequence, a man attempts to strangle a woman to death, however, he stops himself from doing so. Other moments include a man grabbing his lover by the throat and threatening to kill her.
sex
A woman gags and binds her husband to a bed during what he believes to be kinky foreplay. There are also other frequent scenes of sex that feature thrusting detail and sexualised breast and buttock nudity. and forces him to sniff a drug which induces a heart attack off-screen.
nudity
There are frequent scenes of titilatory female nudity, some of which occurs in a sexually abusive context, such as a man photographing nude women without their consent as they swim and sunbathe.
A man secretly takes photographs of a pair of naked women in order to blackmail them. It is implied a pair of siblings had an incestuous relationship as children. An older man roughly grabs a younger woman by her hair to kiss her and likens the experience to kissing ‘a passed-out drunk’. Strong language occurs (‘f**k’, ‘motherf**ker’), as well as moderate bad language (‘bitch’) and milder terms such as ‘shit’, ‘ass’, ‘son of a bitch’, ‘crap’, ‘balls’, ‘Jesus Christ’, ‘God’, ‘hell’, and ‘damn’. Occasional references to suicide occur, including a sequence in which a character stages a murder as a suicide.
