Strong sequences of violence include bloody stabbings and an attempted hanging. There are scenes of strong threat, such as ones in which people who may be under supernatural influence behave in a violent and irrational manner. Characters subject a Muslim woman to racist abuse; for example, a person refers to her as a ‘rag head’, and another suggests she may be a ‘jihadist’ and later pulls off her headscarf during an argument. Discrimination is clearly criticised. There is use of strong language (‘f**k’); milder terms include ‘bitch’, ‘bloody’, ‘bullshit’, ‘shit’ and ‘bastard’. A woman attempts to initiate sex with an unconsenting man, aggressively kissing his face and chest and ignoring his protests until he physically pushes her away. Other issues include moderate sex references, scenes of drug misuse, and references to mental illness.
