violence
There is a brief scene of mild violence in which a man stops two teenagers from stealing. One teenager hits his head on the edge of a table. However, the altercation ends positively with the teens being encouraged to see the error of their ways.
threat and horror
Scenes of mild threat include a dog being struck by a car off-screen, resulting in some blood on its fur in the aftermath. In another sequence, characters are confronted by a wolf in the dark but it is quickly scared away.
discrimination
There is directed use of the term 'cripple' to describe a boy in a wheelchair. In another scene, a girl is taunted by three boys on bikes about her belief in God. Such behaviour is quickly called out and clearly not condoned by the work as a whole.
theme
There are upsetting scenes involving children with terminal illnesses. In some scenes, the protagonist is thought to be close to death, with bereaved family gathering by her bedside. Characters find comfort in their faith during such sad moments, offering encouraging counterbalances to emotional scenes.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
additional issues
Language is very mild ('God', 'hell', 'jerk' and 'butt').
