Violence is comic and brief, and includes battles between prehistoric humans and animals, with some use of basic weapons like sharpened sticks. In one scene, an elderly woman brandishes a knife, which she calls 'Stabby'. After a stick is accidentally fired into a creatures's eye, a man briefly imagines throwing a stick into the eye of another man who he dislikes. In an later scene, a stick is thrown into a monster's eye in self-defence.
threat and horror
There are scenes of threat in which people encounter monsters including wolf spiders and giant apes. However, the characters are resourceful and always swiftly figure out solutions to their challenging situations.
rude humour
A woman shouts angrily, and it is implied she uses bad language, causing shocked reactions from the people around her. However, no swearing is audible as her speech is masked by the sound of giant stalagmites bursting through the ground at strategic points.
injury detail
A girl proudly shows off her scars, and a missing toe, and explains the origins of her injuries. Another girl is stung by a bee, causing her hand to swell up like a purple balloon.
