A person repeatedly stamps on another's head, causing it to cave in. Other bloody violence consists of bludgeonings, shootings, as well as a scene in which a character bites off another's tongue. There are references to violent and abusive acts against women, including a depiction of a woman's murder.

A woman appears possessed, and scenes of body horror involve corpses being revived. There are also chase scenes, and suspenseful sequences involving gun threat.

Very strong language ('c**t') is used infrequently. Strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') is used throughout, as well as milder terms ('dick', 'cock', 'pussy', 'whore', 'shit', 'asshole', 'tits', 'Jesus', 'God', 'hell', 'damn').

Scenes include thrusting, sexual moaning and breast nudity; there is also implied oral sex. Crude verbal references also feature.

Men behave in a sexist manner towards women.

A woman is groped on a dancefloor, before two men attempt to rape her. In another scene, she is assaulted by a police officer. Both scenes are interrupted before further sexual violence takes place.

There are occasionally graphic depictions of gory injuries, such as a corpse with a concave head. Dead bodies are surrounded by pooling blood, and there are monstrous characters with stitching and scarring across their faces and bodies. Severed tongues are retained in jars.

There are potentially upsetting and unsettling scenes in which a woman struggles with her identity.

Adults drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes in numerous scenes, reflecting the time period in which the film is set.
