The repeated failures of a scientist's experiments have apparently fatal consequences for his subjects, and bodies are seen in his laboratory and under sheets in a makeshift morgue. The body of a man who is supposed to have been stabbed in the back slumps down from behind a door. These macabre moments are played for comic effect and contain no gruesome detail. There is also mild comic threat in scenes featuring a character who claims to be carrying explosives which he threatens to detonate.
There is cigarette smoking which reflects the historical period in which the film was made.
