A father beats and manhandles his teenage son to demonstrate his anger that the young man does not act in a more masculine way.

There are disguised uses of 'bitch'. Milder terms include 'bloody', 'screwed', 'fricking', 'pissed', 'shit', 'pissed' and 'hell'.

A teenage boy is mocked for his feminine demeanour; he grows up to accept his true gender identity, although subsequently encounters transphobia. This is challenged by the film as a whole in messaging that makes a plea for tolerance and understanding.

A person briefly contemplates taking their own life, but has a change of mind.

A woman encounters brief sexual harassment in the street by a group of men, and a trans woman is subjected to sexually threatening behaviour.

There are mild upsetting scenes centred on bereavement and people experiencing emotional upheavals.
