Film

St. Trinian's - The Legend Of Fritton's Gold

Contains mild language, sex references and violence

Violence
There is a scene showing older schoolgirls punching and kicking men in the head and body, a scene in which a young girl butts a man in the stomach, and one in which a man squeezes another man's throat until he collapses to the ground. These scenes are comic.
Language
The film contains some mild bad language (for example, 'piss', 'screw', 'bugger', 'bloody').
Sex
Some mild sex references and innuendo includes sight of a newspaper article pinned up on a dart board and headlined 'Member of Parliament' with a photo of apparently naked male with a box covering his crotch and the word "Exposed!" printed across it; a man saying "Excuse me if I don't get up" and a woman replying "It won't be the first time.", a dog suggestively rubbing itself against a man's leg; and a scene in which a man refers to "a couple of athletic sleepovers" and "a bout of ritual humiliation".
There is a comic scene in which a skeleton is discovered in a coffin, and one in which a schoolgirl is possessed by the spirit of a dead pirate. The film also contains scenes in which an elderly headmistress smokes a cigarette. These scenes do not glamorise or promote smoking.

This film was originally shown to the BBFC in an unfinished version. The BBFC advised the company that the film was likely to receive a '12A' classification but that the requested 'PG' certificate could be achieved by making changes to four scenes, including dialogue. In particular the BBFC suggested that the company remove a phallically placed dart on a newspaper picture; reduce the enthusiasm with which an electric chair and death is presented; remove any imitable detail of household products being mixed to create a weapon; and remove an aggressive use of 'bitch'. When the finished version of the film was submitted these changes had been made and the film was classified 'PG'.
