Scarlet

There is emphasis on a character's suffering as they have their face gouged. A character is executed; the violence itself is unseen but a large pool of blood is seen in the aftermath. People are stabbed, shot, slashed, punched and kicked, with occasional sight of blood spurts. A paramedic attends to people's wounds and injuries with close-up detail.

A character becomes trapped in a fantastical bloody dreamscape and is pinned down by reanimated corpses. There is sustained blade threat and physical intimidation throughout. A person is poisoned. Characters face dehydration and storms in a wild environment. A supernatural creature causes unsettling moments.

Very mild bad language ('damn', 'hell' and 'God') is used.

A woman removes the shoulders of her dress, implying that she is about to have sex with another character.

After an execution, blood is seen pouring from the dead body. Characters are shown with bloody wounds and injuries in the aftermath of violence. A medic is seen tending to wounds. A character vomits when ill.

There is a theme of death and bereavement throughout; characters experience drawn-out deaths with visible pain and distress.
