violence
A man is tied up and beaten under torture. Other scenes of violence include shootouts, beatings and explosions. Occasionally there is sight of blood. There are also sequences in which people are executed by hanging; however, such scenes are not prolonged.
threat and horror
People are threatened at gunpoint, interrogated and have their homes invaded.
language
There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k'), accompanied by other milder terms ('bastard', 'bloody', 'douche' and 'Jesus').
discrimination
Scenes depict historical tensions and conflict between expatriate Indians and British and American people in the early 20th century. Indians are spat at and referred to as 'filthy' and 'coolies'. In one scene, Hindu men wearing turbans are told to leave a bar inhabited by Americans. There are also moments of tension between Indians of different faiths. Racism and discrimination is clearly not endorsed by the work as a whole.
injury detail
A man with bloody burns to his arm and body is tended to following an explosion. Dead bodies are briefly seen with bloodied clothes.
