A woman repeatedly hits a young man in a scene of homophobic domestic abuse. One person punches another, without visible injury, and a man publicly slaps his son.

There is infrequent use of very strong language (‘c**t’), as well as more frequent use of strong language (‘f**k’, ‘motherf**ker’). Milder terms include ‘bitch’, ‘pussy’, ‘wank’, ‘shit’, ‘asshole’ and ‘tits’, in addition to use of the ‘middle finger’ gesture.

There are infrequent scenes of sex and masturbation, without strong visual detail. Verbal sex references are moderate and occasionally crude.

Occasional scenes of homophobic behaviour include an upsetting sequence in which a woman repeatedly strikes her young adult son while berating him and calling him a ‘faggot’. Other scenes feature casual sexism, as well as a use of the discriminatory term ‘retard’.

Young people are occasionally seen rolling and smoking marijuana joints.

A scene implies that a young person is considering suicide.

There are occasional scenes of emotional upset related to discrimination and family estrangement.
