violence
There is a scene in which a teenage leader of a gang repeatedly smashes a rock into a boy's groin. There is no detail of injury. There is also a scene in which a man is attacked in the street and his face is smashed into a wall, a scene in which a man is headbutted, and a scene in which an arrested man attacks two police officers, headbutting and kicking them until he is fatally shot in the stomach. Some blood is seen spurting from the wound.
language
Strong language (eg 'f**k' and 'motherf**ker') is used throughout the film. There is also moderate and mild bad language (eg 'bitch', 'whores', 'screwing up', 'crap', 'arsehole', 'bloody', 'bastards', 'shit', 'arse', 'pissed'). Infrequent discriminatory language also occurs, which in one instance is challenged and corrected.
sex
At one point a teenage boy and some younger boys read sex magazines. The teenage boy tells the others to turn their backs before placing his hand down the front of his trousers in order to masturbate. He stops when he realises he is being watched by the two younger boys, who are subsequently chased away. The magazines are not shown in any detail and there is no explicit sight of masturbation. In another scene a pornographic film is watched on a television screen, showing a bare-breasted woman apparently having sex. However, the porn film is only briefly seen and does not reveal any explicit detail.
