threat and horror
Mild threat involving human and non-human characters with whom children will identify include scenes in which they are chased by evil characters, face the prospect of being sent into a crushing machine, fall from heights, get lost in a dark forest and are endangered by medical conditions. In a child's birthday party scene, an adult character's inadvisable idea of a party game with knives and their use of matches cause chaos, but no-one is harmed. The threat is lightened by comedy, and there is also a focus on 'rollercoaster' adventure as well as the support and help given by friendly characters, which lead to reassuring outcomes. The threat leads occasionally to violence, but this is of a slapstick and unrealistic nature.
rude humour
There are number of 'poop' jokes, some of which are used by characters to embarrass others.
theme
There are scenes of verbal bullying of sympathetic characters who are taunted, both in person and on social media, for being different or for being the victims of embarrassing events. The film portrays such bullying in a negative light and shows the perpetrators coming to an eventual understanding of their behaviour being inappropriate.
There is very mild bad language ('butt', 'freaking', 'hell', 'God', 'heck'). Non-human characters interact with electrical equipment.
