RAANGI is a Tamil language action drama in which a young reporter finds herself caught up in the hunt for a terrorist group.
violence
There is strong, intense and occasionally sustained violence, such as shoot-outs between terrorists and a special operations force on a mission to eliminate them, which include gunshots to heads, blood spurts and bloody aftermath injury detail.
sexual violence and sexual threat
There are references to sexually abusive behaviour by men who exploit the vulnerability and self-esteem of a teenage girl by enticing her to share naked images of herself on social media, which are then used to blackmail her into prospective physical encounters. The men's actions are challenged and exposed by an adult woman who is herself subjected to abusive and sexist behaviour from a police officer who makes inappropriate comments about her appearance making her a likely victim of sexual violence, and suggests he might have to compel her to strip to her underwear in the line of his duty.
additional issues
There is moderate gun threat, including a firearm held in a man's mouth. There are infrequent moderate sex references. There is mild bad language ('bloody', 'shit'), and very mild terms ('damn', 'God', 'hell').
