violence
Scenes of strong violence include fist-fights, use of improvised weapons, shootings and stabbings with blood spurts and bloody aftermath detail. In one sequence, an Indigenous tribe including women and children are shot in the back, whipped and forced to jump to their deaths from a great height by white men on horseback. Their dead bodies, including the children, are subsequently seen bloodied on the ground. It is implied that a pack of wild dogs have been shot dead and they are seen lying on the floor with blood on them.
Historical racism and references to racism are prevalent but racism is clearly condemned by the film as a whole. A woman recounts an upsetting story in which she accidentally smothered her baby whilst trying to keep him quiet. There is a moment of moderate threat when we believe she may do it again with another baby. Other moments of threat include gun threat and threat from a pack of wild dogs. Infrequent use of strong language ('f**k') is accompanied by milder terms such as 'bloody', 'bastard', 'bullshit', 'Jesus', 'God' and 'damn'. A man is implied to have shot himself off-screen. There is natural breast nudity.
