PURSUIT is a US crime thriller in which a cop hunts down an escaped prisoner who is trying to free his wife from a vicious drugs cartel.
violence
There are shootings, along with knife stabbings and slashes, resulting in blood spurts and spray over surrounding areas. There are punches, kicks and shoves in hand to hand fighting. A man tortures another by stabbing him in the eye with a fork, but this is hidden from view. A man slices another's belly with a boxcutter and inserts his fingers into the wound to torture him. A woman is grabbed by the hair and dragged along the floor by men, and another is slapped.
threat and horror
Characters are threatened with guns and knives to their throats. A man is hung from the wrists and characters are threatened with torture. A kidnapped woman is seen bound and gagged. A man is left gagged and wrapped in plastic, hanging by his feet.
language
There is strong language ('motherf**ker', 'f**k') and milder terms which include 'bitch', 'shit', 'ass', 'dick', 'God', 'damn' and 'hell'. A white man uses the racial term 'nigga' to refer to a black man.
injury detail
We see the dead bodies of several children, with bloody gunshot wounds; we see other dead bodies splashed with blood and with blood pooling around them. There is sight of a severed tongue nailed to a table in a small pool of blood. Characters are left with bloody injuries from knife wounds and beatings.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
additional issues
There are moderate brief, undetailed verbal sex references. We see bricks of what is implied to be fentanyl and there are brief verbal references to methamphetamine and ecstasy. Characters make brief, undetailed verbal references to racism and homophobia.
