In a scene of domestic abuse a man intimidates, restrains and attempts to strangle his female partner. A woman has an injured eye which it's implied is the result of her partner hitting her; other verbal references to domestic abuse also occur. Fight scenes include those in which people are struck with improvised weapons There are also verbal references to murder.

In a historical setting a woman is shown with a noose around her neck; however, she escapes before being executed. There is also moderate supernatural horror when a woman is haunted and possessed by a demonic entity; however, these intense scenes are balanced by comedy and reassuring outcomes.

Moderate bad language ('slut') features, as well as milder terms such as 'shit', 'piss', 'asshole', 'God', 'damn', 'Jesus' and 'hell'.

References are made to a woman 'screwing' a man. A man and woman kiss and undress with the intention of having sex, although the couple are forced to abandon their love making.

A toxic plant extract is used in the creation of magical potions.

A demonic entity is branded in a fight, leaving a burn wound in the palm of its hand. A person carries bruises and cuts on their face in the aftermath of off-screen violence. There are brief bloody images.

Two witches make a 'blood pact' by cutting the palms of their hands and clasping them together.

Upsetting scenes are centred on bereavement and bullying.

Adults consume alcohol to comic excess, and smoke.
