POST MORTEM is a Hungarian supernatural horror film, set at the end of WWI, in which a post mortem photographer visits a haunted village afflicted by a pandemic.

POST MORTEM is a Hungarian supernatural horror film, set at the end of WWI, in which a post mortem photographer visits a haunted village afflicted by a pandemic.

threat and horror
There are sustained scenes of strong horror, including ‘jump scare’ moments, wherein people are attacked by malevolent ghosts and reanimated corpses. Terrified people are lifted into the air or dragged along the ground by an invisible force, and a reanimated body is shown flailing around while engulfed in flames. A man is drowned by a possessed person.
injury detail
There are frequent and occasionally disturbing images of dead bodies. In one scene horrified villagers find a corpse with a contorted face wedged in a fireplace, and in another scene a dead family - including a boy with a damaged or partially decayed face - are discovered seated around a table. We also see a series of black-and-white photographs of people posing with their deceased loved ones, including children and infants; the dead bodies in the photos appear to be real, but there is no gory detail.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
There are infrequent moderate scenes of WWI battle violence, with aftermath sight of bloody detail on injured soldiers’ faces. In another scene a woman peers through a window to watch a man bathing over a basin, with brief rear nudity.
