There are repeated scenes of the domestic abuse endured by a woman when she is grabbed by the throat, lifted onto a table, punched and strangled in a brutal attack. We see other characters attacking the woman in this way in delusional visions. A character attacks others with an axe; impacts are largely hidden from view, but there is sight of bloody spurts along with strong blood and gore in the aftermath of the violence. There are bloody stabbings and a sustained strangling with a chain.
