The film uses footage of real conflict, civil unrest, riots, prisoner abuse and police violence, including sight of explosions, gunfire, and of people being beaten. Footage of the January 6th US Capitol Attack shows a woman being shot, resulting in bloody detail. A scene from the 1956 film adaptation of 1984 depicts a large group of prisoners being executed by hanging, while a montage of fictional depictions of torture includes sight of people being electrocuted and dunked underwater, and of blood streaming from a gash in a person’s throat.

There is infrequent use of strong language (‘f**k’). Milder terms include ‘shit’, ‘piss’ and ‘bastard’.

Sex is implied through a post-coital scene. There are brief undetailed references to sex workers and masturbation.

There are references to racism, colonisation, antisemitism, homophobia, and sexism throughout.

There are brief and undetailed verbal references to rape and sexual harassment.

Footage and photography of real warzones and atrocities contain images of dead and injured people, some of whom have blood on their faces and clothing. A distressed man is briefly seen cradling the dead body of his child. A photo shows a smiling soldier posing next to an injured and bloodied prisoner. Another segment features photos of people who have died during migrant crossings.
