violence
Scenes of moderate violence include a woman being accidently slashed across the neck with a knife and a man throwing a stick at another, impaling him in the leg. As crowds watch, people are tied up and publicly whipped resulting in bloody streaks across their clothing. There are also stylised fight sequences and crunchy beatings. A possessed character grabs the hand of a man, who is holding a knife, and uses it to slash his own throat; however, he is quickly seen to reincarnate as a demonic creature.
threat and horror
There are scenes of horror and supernatural threat, including jump scares, in which snarling ghostly apparitions appear, characters are chased by menacing ghouls and people turn to dust. A woman is drugged, abducted and locked in the boot of a car with her captor implying that he will eventually murder her. Another female character is hit by a car, threatened with a knife and chased by an armed angry mob. A man sets himself on fire and runs through a town.
language
Use of mild bad language ('shit', 'screw', 'bloody hell') is accompanied by very mild terms such as 'hell'.
discrimination
A man makes sexist comments towards a female character, stating she deserves to be killed because she must have broken a man's heart in the past.
injury detail
There are moments of moderate bloody detail in the aftermath of violence, such as whippings, knife slashings and stabbings. A ghostly woman is seen with burns and scars on her face. Human remains are discovered in a woman's bag
