Infrequent very strong language occurs ('c**t'), as well as more frequent use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), a middle finger gesture and other terms such as 'slut', 'bitch', 'shit', 'asshole', 'bullshit', ‘God’, ‘damn’, 'Jesus' and 'Christ'. Scenes of drug misuse include characters taking ecstasy pills, smoking cannabis joints and snorting cocaine. Drug misuse is not condoned by the work as a whole. During a darkly lit scene, a man delivers repeated impactful blows to a character's head using a steel pole. Scenes of strong violence result in extensive bloody facial injuries and sight of blood on clothing. Other moments include crunchy punches and kicks during struggles. Strong verbal references are made to sexual violence during a scene in which a woman tearfully recounts her rape by two men.
