A woman living with bipolar disorder has mental health episodes and attempts to take her own life; these scenes are accompanied by bloody detail. A teenage girl struggles to cope with her mother's mental illness. There is a focus on seeking professional help to ease symptoms, including the use of medication and other treatments. Upsetting references are also made to death and bereavement; however, this theme is sensitively handled.
