There is a flashback of a transgender character being discriminated against by a family member as a child; they are attacked with transphobic remarks and thrown out of their home. There is a reassuring outcome. Characters occasionally make sexist remarks towards women.

A person is drugged before a sports game by an opponent, causing them to fall ill and pass out; they are later shown to have recovered.

A person is hit by a car, resulting in brief bloody detail; the character is seen with bruises in the aftermath.

A woman is groped by a man who is implied to have been sexually violent with her in the past; she fights back and escapes. A woman is verbally and physically harassed by a man while in a public place; she is saved and the perpetrator is beaten. The film clearly condemns sexual harassment.

Mild upsetting scenes include references to family discord, abortion, and feature heightened emotional confrontations.

Adults occasionally drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes.
