A man is beaten by two others while showering. Heavy blows result in bloody impacts to the man's face, followed by blood running into the plughole immediately after the incident. Other violence consists of undetailed brawls. There are also scenes of strong threat in which inmates approach others holding a shank, but we do not see the weapon in use. The protagonist experiences nightmares in which he is being approached by a particularly threatening and violent inmate.
