Scenes of violence include stylised fights featuring punches, kicks, body slams, slaps and head butts. There are several sequences featuring blade violence including shootings, stabbings, slashings and throat-cutting, with blood spurts. In one sequence a character is impaled. People are also shown being strangled and choked. A person's arm is severed in an attack. Some violence involves improvised weapons including sticks.

There are multiple scenes depicting joint-smoking and drug-smuggling. In one scene, a person's food is spiked with drugs. Drug misuse and trafficking is often condemned.

There is a scene of sexual threat from a man towards a woman who is chained up.

There are brief verbal references to suicide.

Scenes include sight of blood on bodies and blood spurting from wounds. Characters are shown hanging and a severed limb is depicted. A character is shown with their throat cut.

Characters are shown grieving after the death of a loved one.

Adults are shown smoking cigarettes. There are brief references to alcohol.
