violence
Scenes of strong violence occur throughout. An unsympathetic character repeatedly beats a dog using a metal pole, with accompanying blood splatter. In another scene, a pack of dogs are deliberately released into a pigsty and subsequently kill its inhabitants; however, no actual animal cruelty appears to have occurred in the creation of these scenes. Large blood spurts accompany a crunchy fight scene.
threat and horror
Occasional scenes of strong threat occur, including an enraged mob of people attacking the patrons of a local centre and wrecking the building. In one scene, a group of thugs violently attempt to enter a house while a person is home alone.
language
Mild bad language occurs ('bloody', 'crap'), as well as very mild bad language ('hell' 'damn').
discrimination
During a prolonged scene, a group of men throw rocks at local teenage boys who belong to a lower caste, resulting in bloody facial injuries. Further verbal and visual references to caste discrimination occur. Discrimination is not endorsed by the work as a whole.
injury detail
Dead pigs are shown lying on the ground with accompanying injury detail. In one scene, there is sight of a dead animal's entrails in the aftermath of a brutal beating. There is also occasional sight of blood across characters' faces and clothing.
disturbing images
A dead baby is shown hanging from a tree during a disturbing dream.
alcohol and tobacco
Occasional scenes feature adults smoking cigarettes.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
