There are scenes of real animal hunts in which birds, springboks, giraffes, leopards and lions are the quarry. Animals are shot in a generally undetailed manner, but are fatally injured and are then killed with a final shot as they lie in a helpless state. The dead animals are posed for photographs to be taken with the hunters. There is also footage of post-kill animal butchery. There are references throughout the film to the threat of animal species being driven to extinction because of poorly regulated hunting practices.

A white South African hunter makes racist comments about "Blacks, Chinese and Orientals". The work does not endorse such discrimination.
