There are frequent scenes of strong bloody violence, including impalements, bites and neck breakings. Violence is often directed towards and perpetrated by children.

There are frequent scenes of strong sustained horror and threat when possessed corpses and people, including children, attack others and, occasionally, inflict harm on themselves. Horror imagery is frequent, disturbing in tone and often bloody. In one scene, a child is tortured when forced to participate in an ancient ritual.

There is infrequent very strong language ('c**t'), occasional strong language ('f**k') and use of milder terms including 'dick', 'shit', 'freaking', 'hell' and 'God'.

There are frequent close-up images of gore, including wound detail and nail and tooth extractions.

A child is groomed and abducted; subsequent scenes depict a family coping with the disappearance of their child. Police intimate that the child may have been abducted or trafficked for the purpose of sexual abuse, although this is not the case.
