Characters occasionally slap one another in the face. There are brief, mild scenes of violence which often have a slapstick tone, and include a group of men striking another. A man watches a film in a cinema, in which it is implied on screen that a character is beating an elephant with a chain to tame it.

A young girl is at risk of being mauled by a tiger in a sustained sequence of threat. Other characters are put in danger of animal attack and one flees from a stampeding elephants. Criminals plot to murder a man by causing him to be trampled by an elephant. Thieves hold a woman at knifepoint in a comic scene.

There is mild bad language ('shit', 'bugger', 'piss') along with milder terms which include 'jerk', 'God, 'damn' and 'hell'.

There is brief, but repeated, sight of a woman's bloodied dead body in the aftermath of an animal attack. A man is left with minor bloody injuries on his face after sustaining a fall.

There are brief, undetailed verbal references to suicide.

Illustrated images briefly show dead, emaciated animals.

There is infrequent toilet humour around urination and defecation.

Characters handle and shoot lit fireworks at a target.

There are occasional scenes of emotional upset as characters grieve or fear the loss of loved ones.

Characters smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol.
